This analysis requires that you have Google Analytics demographics tracking enabled.
The default reports either show demographic performance for age or gender categories. A much better way to gauge the performance is to combine gender and age reports for a more detailed analysis.
Google Analytics -> Reporting -> Audience -> Demographics -> Gender
From the “Demographics: Gender” report, click on “Secondary Dimension” and type in “age” and click on it to add it as dimension.
Your report will now show the age ranges broken down by gender. Click on the column heading “Gender” to get a sorted overview.
In the bottom right corner, click on the “Show rows” drop down and change it to “25” in order to be able to see all gender and age combinations at once.
– This report shows performance metrics broken down by demographics for all website traffic
– Use the data to understand which user demographics are most likely to buy from you
– If you don’t have enough conversion data, bounce rate and avg. session duration are the next best performance indicators
